At Canyon Valuation & Advisory LLC, we hire local experts to deliver top-notch valuation services nationwide. Our sister company, Canyon Data Inc., builds AI-powered tools that help commercial real estate (CRE) appraisers become go-to sources of market intelligence and best-in-class commercial real estate appraisals and valuation products. The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Boise Market Leader our Boise “local office,” As a market leader, you receive significant autonomy and shape how we serve Idaho’s CRE community. You’ll work remotely—no physical office required—but you must be in Boise to build relationships and understand the market firsthand. You’ll have full autonomy (with centralized support) to hire, train, and manage a small team, drive new business, and position Boise’s appraisers as trusted data authorities.
What You’ll Do
Own Your P&L & Strategy
Develop and execute a Boise-focused plan blending Canyon Data’s AI insights with Canyon Valuation’s appraisal services.
Manage all revenue, expenses, and profitability for your local operation—within our governance framework.
Spot growth opportunities across office, industrial, retail, multifamily, land and/or other specialty sectors.
Build & Lead a High-Performing Team
Recruit and mentor a lean group of appraisers and analysts.
Set up streamlined workflows for assignment routing, quality control, and report delivery.
Ensure every valuation meets USPAP and Canyon Valuation’s quality standards.
Drive New Business & Cultivate Relationships
Leverage your Boise network to book valuation engagements—prospecting, negotiating, and closing bids and other appraisal opportunities
Be the local face of Canyon: foster partnerships with brokers, lenders, developers, and investors.
Use Canyon Data’s dashboards and AI report builder to gather—and share—local market insights (not selling data) to enhance your position as the local market authority.
Champion Technology Adoption
Host fun, interactive training sessions to help Boise appraisers learn our software.
Collect feedback to help our product team refine features and local data feeds.
Position yourself as the go-to expert on how AI and data can elevate appraisal services in Boise.
Share Your Market Expertise
Collaborate with Canyon Data’s product and data teams on Boise-specific inputs (e.g., assessor data, transaction records).
Contribute Boise insights to our national leadership team—informing broader rollout strategies.
Represent Canyon companies at local CRE events, industry meetups, and community forums.

Strong background in commercial appraisal or brokerage at a mid-to-large firm, with deep Boise market knowledge.
Proven track record closing six- and seven-figure appraisal engagements.
P&L & Team Leadership (3+ years)
Experience building and managing small teams, setting KPIs, and owning profit and loss.
Hands-on approach: comfortable balancing client work, operational oversight, and team development.
Sales & Relationship Skills (2+ years)
A self-starter who can prospect, pitch, and nurture long-term client relationships.
Excellent communicator—confident presenting to brokers, lenders, investors, and C-suite stakeholders.
Tech-Enthusiast & Strategic Thinker
Eager to learn and teach AI-driven appraisal tools—translating data into actionable local insights.
Familiarity with appraisal software is a plus; you learn new tools quickly.
Big-picture thinker who doesn’t lose sight of day-to-day targets and client needs.
Licenses & Education
Idaho Certified General (CG) Appraiser license preferred; MAI designation is a bonus but not required.
Bachelor’s in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or equivalent real-world experience.
