We are currently seeking a Appraisal Manager to join our team. This position is located in our Irvine, California location.

The Appraisal Review Department (ARD) provides real property valuation, appraisal review and consulting services to the bank. Services provided involve all types of commercial, office, industrial and retail properties, multifamily housing, senior housing, residential subdivisions, undeveloped land, and special-use properties.
The ARD Manager oversees all department operations to ensure compliance with bank policies, federal regulations and USPAP standards, and to obtain credible valuations of real estate collateral for underwriting, monitoring and/or credit management purposes.
Performs Administrative and/or Technical Reviews and trains staff reviewers.
Also responsible for developing, implementing and complying with department policies/procedures; resolving valuation disputes and handling appraiser/client complaints; maintaining an approved appraiser list and contracting with outside vendors; developing appraisal guidelines/standards for outside vendors; hiring, training and supervising department employees; reporting on ARD performance to senior management; and interfacing with bank officers, outside vendors, auditors and regulators.
Performs other duties as assigned by senior management
Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field and 10+ years of real estate valuations, appraisals or other directly related experience. Certified General Appraiser license required, MAI designation preferred. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
Expert knowledge of valuations and appraisal principles, practices and applications, complex valuation methods, financial analysis, audit procedures and regulatory requirements.
Must have excellent management, customer relations and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent judgment, problem-solving and analytical skills.
Requires a working knowledge of other related fields and ability to apply information to current role.
Working knowledge of various computer software including spreadsheets, word processing and database applications.
